D Irl 23266 Ed; Inch Strand, Co. Kerry

Inch Strand is located approximately 20 minutes from Dingle and 40 miles from Killarney. The beach lies in Daingean Bay and stretches for approximately 4 miles of sandy beach.

It is a long sand strip that is flanked by a sand dune system. It has breathtakinmg views out of Dingle Bay and the mountain ranges of Kerry seem to protectively watch over this wild place.

It is rated a Blue Flag beach. Lying on the west coast of Ireland, this large strand is full exposed to the waves and wind around Atlantic Ocean. Even in this mid-winter scene, it has a unique character, and would be a lovely place to walk on and explore generally.
