D Irl 13506 Ed; Burst of sunlight on remote Kerry cottage

As I was travelling through the Caha Mountains in Co. Kerry one day, I was impressed at the fact that there was a small number oftraditional Irish cottages dotted along the floor and sides of the valley below. The cottages themselves were probably hundreds of years oldand represented Man’s determination to eek out in some of the most remote and inaccessible parts ofKerry. Even the way that the very basic “access” roads were constructed, weaving, twisting and turning precariously, was stunning.

As it was a mainly cloudy day, with only occasional bursts of sunshine, I had to summon up all my patience and wait for about one hour before the Sun obliged and lit up the object of my attention.
